Style: jewellery week

While I’ve been packing up my things in anticipation for the move that doesn’t ever seem to be coming, I started packing up my jewellery.  I knew I had a lot but I didn’t think I had quite as much as I actually do.  The crazy thing is, I barely wear any of it.  I occasionally remember to put a pair of earrings in or maybe pop a ring on, a watch if I’m given it at work.

I’m trying to put a positive spin on this whole waiting process so why not have a clear out and a style challenge at the same time?  I want to figure out if I’m too lazy to think about accessorising or if I’m just not a jewellery person and I have another box I can send to the charity shop.

This is just a tiny somewhat neat selection of the pieces I currently have.  There’s a bit of a mix of chunky statement things and more delicate things.  I’m hoping I’ll be able to find pieces that work together and I don’t end up looking like a kid playing in a dressing up box!

When I was younger I remember a friends mum teaching us that you’re not fully dressed unless you have earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces all at once.  To this day I don’t think I’ve ever followed that rule, but this week I’m going to give it a pretty good go!  My super hard challenge this week is to wear as much jewellery as possible (hopefully without getting laughed at).  Fingers crossed this is going to give me a new found love for blinging up, any excuse for new things to shop for!

Stay tuned!

Much love!
