Crafty bits: bullet journal

I recently across this idea of bullet journaling and from what I understand about it, I love it. So I’m going to give it a go. I did a little bit of Pinterest research and was a little bit overwhelmed at the amount of lists people make and things they keep track of.

Since this is my first real attempt at any kind of journaling, I’ve decided to keep it as simple as can be.

One page. Calendar squares. A quote. A goal section. A notes section?

I’ve always really wanted to get into scrapbooking as well so thought I’d try and combine the two with this project. The plan is for each month to have two pages. One planning and one reflection. Eventually if I manage to keep on top of this, I should be able to make a pretty nice multi media book.

The second reflection page is mainly blank space which I’m aiming to fill with photos and other memories of the month, as well as a little thank you pocket. I loved the idea of a gratuity section. Mine is a little envelope type thing with loose paper stubs to write down what I’m grateful for.

I also thought I’d add on a bit of a cheesy quote to help inspire me through the month. Pinterest came up with the perfect one. ‘Do something today that your future self will thank you for’.

I’m looking forward to trying to stick with this project. Hopefully it’ll be the start of me getting a bit more organised and being generally more aware of myself and my life. If anyone has any tips or stories of their own journaling, please let me know!

Stay tuned!

Much love!
