Style: getting my Cara on

This started off as a crazy Pinterest makeup challenge, I do love what Pinterest has to offer especially when it comes to makeup. I then got (pretty understandably, I think) distracted by Cara Delevingne. I don’t want to gush, but she is just amazing.

Bearing in mind from the start I don’t have her bone structure, facial expressions, or access to any kind of professional makeup artists, what could go wrong? Don’t judge too harshly please.

This look was stressful. Who knew getting two flicks on each eye could be so difficult? A bit of wine and plenty of cotton buds, this is the results. Can’t quite decide how I feel about this, I definitely used to have this colour of purple when I was about 13 and trying makeup for the first time.

I tried. My face just doesn’t work in the same way. I do actually quite like this look though. This shape of shadow is right up there in my limited skill set, I very much doubt it’s the proper way of doing it but who cares? I might (but probably won’t) start combining a bit more red and orange into the real world.

The eyebrows. I don’t know what else to say.

I’m clearly still very far from Cara, but a girl can dream, then practice and experiment some more.

Stay tuned!

Much love!
