Liz Earle face review

Just to be clear, reviewing my face after using the products for a week, not the face of Liz Earle (is she real or just a brand name?). Great start to the post.

At Christmas I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful and gorgeous smelling selection from a couple of very special people. Since then, I’ve tried it out a couple of times but haven’t managed to get into a proper daily routine as far as skin care goes, or let’s be honest any kind of lifestyle routine.

I would describe my skin as not too problematic in general. It has a tendency to have a paddy if I don’t moisturise daily and recently a few little whiteheads have popped up but honestly I’m putting that down to not taking the best care of myself. That is all about to change though.

I’m definitely not a skin care expert so I’m taking all my advise from the back of the bottles, and assuming that everything came in a pack so it should all work together.

Step one – massage the cleanse and polish cream into your face and use a cloth with hot water to wash it off. This step is my favourite. The cream smells incredible and the heat from the cloth feels so refreshing.

Step two – skin tonic on a couple of cotton pads rubbed gently over the whole face. This felt a little bit drying, I was slightly worried about it being too harsh but I didn’t notice any flaky areas so it can’t have been that bad.

Step three – face serum massaged all over. I’m not a huge fan of the smell of this and a couple of pumps didn’t feel like quite enough product, but then maybe I’ve just been using far too much moisturiser all these years.

After a week of using all three steps morning and night, wow. I don’t think my skin has ever felt so good. It definitely will have helped that I also avoided makeup for the whole week, but in the past when I haven’t worn makeup I’ve noticed my skin getting very greasy very quickly. Not this time. It felt fresh and clear all day long.

Visually I don’t think you can tell that much difference after a week and I am very naive in the whole skin care routine so basically anything more involved that a face wipe is impressive to me, but I really rate this set of products. My skin has never felt healthier and I’ve never felt so confident with a bare face. The only slight downside for me is the amount of time it takes daily. While it is nice to have a bit of pampering time morning and night, it did sometimes feel like a bit of a chore. Something a bit more time effective with the same results would be ideal. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Stay tuned!

Much love!
